So today I got a call from an unlisted number. The message stated, "Thank you for being an ATT customer. We want to reward you with $100. Please go to www.att160.com to collect your prize.
This is a scam and could cause a trojan virus or a PC takeover. DO NOT GO TO THIS SITE.
When someone calls claiming to be from ATT and claims to offer you money. They are not from ATT. ATT does not just give it's customers $100 by calling their phone line. If it were an ATT promotion or offer the URL or internet address would be www.att.com/win100 or something similar and catchy. The main piece to note is the www.att.com not www.att160.com.
If ATT feels this post is in error please send an email to the administrator and I would be happy to change the post. I am posting this to help other ATT customers, so that they do not get scammed in ATT's name.
